Eris version 1.3.8 has been released and is now available from the WorldForge download site.
Eris is the WorldForge client-side session layer, used by many existing clients. This is a bug-fix and compatability release to allow client developent with the most recent release of Atlas-C++.
This is a development release, as the API will change prior to the final release of Eris 1.4.0. However, any changes should be minor and easy to incorporate into clients - testing is recommended and appreciated.
Changes in this version:
- A bug where the visibility of the character entity changed several times while entering the world was fixed.
- The test harness was re-factored into more, smaller sources with common code sepeertaed into helper objects. Several new tests were added.
- Various changes were made to ensure compatability with the latest Atlas-C++ API, especially relating to negotiation and factories.
- Account objects now store a pointer to each active Avatar, and support an 'isActive' query for a character ID. In the future, Account will clean-up active avatars when disconnecting.
