This is a list of all materials in the Mason game. An item can be made of one of a number of possible materials, using different construction processes.
Material Properties
A material has a number of properties. They are listed in the Material Properties document.

Liquids
needed properties: density, viscosity- Water

- Honey
- Paint (also Ink and Pigments)
- Juice (from berries and different fruits)
Pastes
- Glue

Powders
- All Solids listed below (ex: wood-> sawdust, ice-> ice shavings)

- Soot (we probably don't need this one)
- Snow (If cold enough)

Solids
- Woods (Pine, Oak)
- Metals (Iron, Gold, Silver, Copper, Steel)
- Rock (various types)
- Metal Ores (== rock type + metal type + % metal content)
- Earth/Soil (various types for different pigments)
- Brick (the material, baked clay)
- Glass (various colors and qualities)
- Obsideon (sp?)
- Ice (If cold enough)
- Meats (Pork, Beef, Venison, Poultry) (how to handle rotten/rotting meat?)
- Bone (do we need to differentiate animale? I'm guessing not)
- Bread
- Cheese
2-D Solids
- Cloth (Silk, Cotton Fabric, Wool, Leather, Fur, other fabrics)
- Paper
- Sandpaper (paper + glue + sand)?
1-D Solids
- "Strings" consisting of a length of solid, uniform material with a circular cross-seciton of variable thickness. Bendability must be verified at creation.
- Whatever string/twine is made from (I think these are different)
- Metals (i.e. wire)
- Hair/Fur
- Thread
- Yarn [?]
- Chains (i.e. consiting of links instead of a continous material)
